Hi Team!

Yesterday was a great morning to kick off our season.  There were a lot of fast times swum! More importantly I think we worked out the kinks so that we will run efficient meets going forward. A PDF of results can be found under the schedule page of our website. You should also be able to see your swimmer's times on the profile pages of your account. I will hang ladders on the bulletin board tomorrow.

Summer Theme. Our season theme is “ERAS.” We’ll be highlighting different eras in history.  The full list for the summer is attached and reminders will be in my weekly email.

PRACTICES: This coming week is our last week of afternoon practices! AND the first week for our 5 & 6 year olds! 5 & 6 will practice this week 4:30-5:00.

The forecast is calling for possible storms tomorrow, Monday June 12.  I will use twitter (@akcHolyMacks) to post delays or cancellations.  If I have access to email, I will also email.

Wednesday June 14: 15-18s MEETING after practice

We’d love all 15-18 year olds to join us after practice on Wednesday (7:15-8:00pm) to help plan fun activities for the season. You will learn your Mackerel School assignment at this meeting. RSVP on the website so that I order enough pizza.

PIZZA will be provided for everyone.

Friday June 16: 8 & under Pasta Poster Party, 6:00 pm

Who? All 5,6,7 & 8 year old Holy Macks

What? pasta dinner, poster making, cheering and fun on Friday evening

Where? the AKC BBQ pit.

Time: 6:00-6:45 pm

Please RSVP on the website. This is a fun event to get to know other swimmers and get psyched for the first dual meet of the season.

Saturday June 17: Dual Meet # 1 HOME v. Ashburn Aquajets

Entries will be shared by Thursday.

Swimmers should arrive by 6:45 am, we will be in the water at 6:55 am for warm-up (all age groups will warm up at the same time). First event is at 8:00 am.

For those new to the team, we are allowed limited entries for dual meets on Saturdays (3 per event, per age group).  Saturday meets go much faster than our time trials.

Send your vacation dates and missing meet dates! With our first dual meet approaching, please make sure you have let me know your availability for the summer. We have limited slots for dual meets, so it’s important that I know who is available to make sure we will not have empty lanes. Even if you don’t think your swimmer could swim, please send me your vacation/away dates.
